My Ph.D. focused on boosting the performance of microfluidic microbial fuel cells as a bioelectrochemical system by investigating metal-based anodes and electron transfer mechanisms. During my studies at the university, I worked on various interdisciplinary projects such as fabricating an electrostatic traveling wave micropump (M.Sc. thesis), developing a spherical ultrasonic motor and calculating electrowetting force. My research interests include microfluidic technologies for cell/bacterium manipulation and characterization, microbial fuel cells, and sensors and actuators. Currently, I am investigating the role of diffusiophoresis in fluid flows.
