Senior research scholar
Haohao Hao received his Ph.D. in Power Machinery and Engineering from Harbin Institute of Technology in 2022. He was also a visiting Ph.D. student at Queen Mary University of London. His research focuses on multiphase flows, interfacial flows, phase-field methods, Marangoni effects, surfactant transport, and numerical simulations of multiphysics coupling. He is particularly interested in droplet/bubble dynamics, heat and mass transfer, phase-change processes, and the development of high-performance numerical solvers. Centered on complex fluid interfacial dynamics, he has developed profile-preserving phase-field models and surfactant transport models, with applications in microdroplet manipulation and bubble dynamics in water electrolysis. He has published more than 10 papers in journals including Journal of Computational Physics, International Journal of Multiphase Flow, and Journal of Fluid Mechanics. Outside of work, he enjoys playing football and hiking.
